How to upscale video

Upload the best available MP4 or MOV clip. The current upload limit is 32 MB and 120 seconds.
Wait for the server to inspect the video track. Check the measured dimensions, duration and file size.
Choose ByteDance enhancement or Topaz Precision and review the controls available for that contract.
Request a quote for the selected settings, submit once, then inspect the returned clip in History.

Prepare a clip worth enhancing

Start with the earliest clean source you own. Repeated exports, heavy compression and baked-in sharpening can leave artifacts that become more visible at a larger size. Keep a short copy for comparison and note the original frame rate.

A filename or browser estimate is not enough to calculate cost. The server must be able to read a video track and verify its duration. If inspection fails, choose another source file instead of guessing its measurements.

Choose an output for its destination

A presentation, archive review and social edit may need different output dimensions. First decide where the clip will play, then choose a supported resolution or scale factor. Increasing every setting is not a substitute for a better source.

Use the workflow to explore enlargement of landscapes, product footage or older clips. Faces, small text, moving water and repeating patterns need especially careful review.

Resolution, motion and engine limits

ByteDance supports either target resolution or a scale ratio. Its scale mode is limited to 4K pixels; 10- or 12-bit output requires the Pro tier. Scene and frame-rate settings are shown only where supported.

Topaz Precision uses its own model and scale controls. Do not transfer assumptions between engines. Estimated output dimensions are planning information until the actual returned file is inspected.

Review the whole result

Play the entire clip at its intended size. Pause on fine edges, then check adjacent frames for shimmer or flicker. Inspect faces, captions and fast motion. Check the actual file dimensions and playback behavior before replacing your source.

Audio retention, exact frame-rate behavior and output dimensions are not guaranteed here. Keep the source and compare the exported file; illustrations on this page explain the workflow and do not show measured enhancement results.

Quotes and credits

A quote requires trusted duration and an approved rate for the selected engine and settings. Resolution, scale, scene, tier, bit depth or frame-rate changes make the previous quote invalid. Review the replacement quote before submitting.

Model availability and reviewed pricing are checked by the existing task service. If a required rate is missing, submission stays unavailable. Plans are available on Pricing; no fixed free allowance or completion time is promised.

Video upscaling questions

Does a larger file contain more real detail?

Not necessarily. Enhancement can infer plausible texture, but it cannot guarantee recovery of what the camera originally captured. Judge moving sequences as well as single frames.

Can I choose both a target resolution and a scale ratio?

Use one sizing mode for ByteDance. The request excludes the other field so the selected mode has a clear meaning.

Why does the quote change after I edit settings?

Duration and the selected parameter combination determine the quote. A new configuration requires a new quote rather than reusing a stale estimate.

Does the tool preserve my audio?

Audio retention has not been verified through real model runs for this site. Keep the original and inspect the returned file before using it in an edit.

Can I submit a large archive file?

The current upload accepts MP4 or MOV up to 32 MB and 120 seconds. Prepare an appropriate source copy if your original exceeds those limits.

What if the provider reports success without a playable file?

A status label alone is not a usable result. Check the task details and history, and contact support@3ytv.com with the task reference if no output is available.
